The Perception of Y.O.L.O

Y.O.L.O (you only live once). These 4 words have become one of the world's biggest excuses for misbehavior all over the world. Thanks to Drake and his song "The Motto." people everywhere shout these misconstrued words. Back in the day people would look at Y.O.L.O as taking advantage of the day, living for the moment. examples would be like driving a race car, eating exotic foods, or travel to foreign places. Now-a-days these are nothing but an excuse for older people who know right from wrong, to act wild and live life as if no rules and regulation exist. Wake up people everywhere you go in America there will be rules and regulations to follow, so therefore Y.O.L.O isn't an excuse for people and their problems/issues. I don't know and probably never will understand why Y.O.L.O is even used. It's childish,stupid, unitelligiant. But oh well right. With that being said Y.O.L.O! Haha thats not even funny.

    I like your topic, because I agree. And I think you have some very good points!
    But, you can develope your idea a little bit more and then it will be even better :)

    I agree with your topic, because i hate the phrase Y.O.L.O. Its just a big excuse for when you do something stupid. Good Job

    I am on the same side as you on your topic. Y.O.L.O is stupid in my opinion because people interpret it the wrong way. I'm pretty sure nobody thinks they can live twice anyways

    I somewhat agree. True, most people make it an excuse; however, not everyone does. So, just because someone says it, it doesn't mean they are using it in the wrong way. Some people actually know what it should be; however, people now-a-days use it as a complete excuse. I love the topic though.

      Right! next time I will try to make it more understandable. Because your right not everyone does use it in the wrog sense. Typically most people do.

    This reminds me of a picture on facebook of a photo that is split in half. One half is picture of teens in the club going crazy and the caption says "this is not Y.O.L.O" The other half has a picture of marines going out to war and that is captioned "This is Y.O.L.O." I understand where you're comming from!

    I like had how you addressed the misuse of Yolo. I heard an aspiring rapper died because he tweeted about yolo while he was driving drunk. So i definitely agree with you. Carpe Diem > YOLO
